The Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in supporting month-end processes, compliance requirements, and financial reporting.
This is a hands-on role that will suit a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both technical accounting and business partnering responsibilities.
Responsibilities Assist with completion of the month-end process, including preparation and review of profit and loss reports and variance analysis Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support monthly reporting packs for senior stakeholders Partner with operational leaders across the business to provide financial insights and support decision-making Contribute to budgets, forecasts, and audit processes Ensure tax compliance obligations for Australia and New Zealand are met Identify and implement process improvements and control enhancements Undertake ad hoc projects and provide support to the Finance Manager and Financial Controller The Candidate Degree qualified in Accounting/Finance with CA/CPA completed or in progress Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a finance or accounting role Strong technical accounting and compliance skills Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large data sets Experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP or Sun Systems advantageous) Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across business functions Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines A proactive, adaptable and positive team player
