The Sunrise Centre Drug and Alcohol program is for both women and men 18 and above for singles only with 25 residential rooms, our centre fosters recovery through professional care, holistic support, and a community of hope.
About The Role
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated AOD Case Manager to join our team in Berrimah. In this full-time, permanent position, you will report to the Clinical Coordinator and work directly with individuals seeking support in their recovery journey.
You'll be joining a team that values empathy, human connection, and integrity in every interaction. Your work will be supported under the SCHADS Award, Level 4, with conditions that reflect your important contribution.
What You'll Be Doing
As an AOD Case Manager, your relational strengths will shine as you:
* Build safe, trusting, and respectful relationships with clients that support self-determination and empowerment.
* Gently explore each client's unique situation through intake and assessment, identifying both challenges and strengths.
* Collaborate with clients to co-design tailored case plans that are realistic, holistic, and hope-focused.
* Walk alongside clients throughout their journey—from initial engagement to progress reviews, and eventually, thoughtful exit planning and aftercare.
* Respond sensitively and effectively to potential high-risk situations, always guided by safety and ethical practice.
You Will Have (Requisite Skills & Qualifications)
* Degree qualification preferred, in Social work, Welfare, Community Development and with related field work experience and demonstrated high level knowledge in the sector and/or skills attained through previous appointments, service and study/development.
* Or a minimum Certificate IV in Community Services in Social work, Welfare, Community Development and demonstrated related high-level work experience of sector knowledge and skills attained through similar appointments, service, and study/development
* Demonstrated experience in engaging clients who encounter the Justice System and or Corrective Services and willingness to assist in the provision of support in the areas of homelessness, alcohol and other drug dependence, and mental health issues.
* Experience working with people who may not have English as a first language and knowledge of Local Aboriginal Communities and Culture.
* A National Police Record check is required prior to commencement.
* A NT Working with Children Ochre Card check is required prior to commencement.
