About the role:
Reporting into the Payroll Manager, your duties will include:
- Process payroll for all employees in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure payroll calculations are compliant with relevant awards, legislation and internal policies
- Manage payroll-related tasks including superannuation, tax, and workers' compensation
- Liaise with HR to ensure employee data, such as appointments, terminations, and remuneration, is up to date
- Respond to employee queries in a timely manner
- Assist with end-of-month and end-of-year reconciliations
- Participate in payroll process improvements, system upgrades, and policy updates
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
About you:
- 5+ years experience in payroll
- Experience working in a medium - high volume payroll environment (1000+ employees)
- Experience using a large payroll system (eg. Chris21, SAP, Aurion, Preceda, Dayforce)
- Strong award and EA interpretation skills
- Experience managing payroll tax and superannuation processes
- High level of attention to detail
- Full and unlimited Australian working rights
