Lending Business Analyst
Location: Melbourne (remote)

Overview:
Our Banking client is seeking skilled (Senior) Business Analysts with experience in loan origination and home lending to join a strategic initiative aimed at shaping the future state of lending processes. You'll play a key role in simplifying products, streamlining onboarding workflows, and enhancing the customer experience across the lending lifecycle.
This is part of a broader initiative focused on target state lending, with current and future state analysis already in motion. The role involves working within a collaborative Agile team alongside UX, product owners, and platform specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the development of a future state view for lending and help simplify both product offerings and the customer journey.
* Work on loan origination processes, including home loans, from pre-approval to fulfillment.
* Partner with other Business Analysts to define requirements, drive discovery sessions, and ensure end-to-end process alignment.
* Assist in designing and implementing new workflows for onboarding and product delivery.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
* Operate within an Agile delivery team, actively contributing to sprint activities and ceremonies.
* Identify and support the management of downstream impacts such as customer data (Salesforce) and BI reporting.
* Engage with teams working on platforms like Simpology to ensure seamless integration with the lending platform.
Required Experience & Skills:
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the lending or financial services domain.
* Solid understanding and experience of loan origination, particularly home loans.
* Exposure to the entire lending lifecycle from pre-approval through to settlement.
* Experience in Agile delivery environments working closely with Product Owners and UX designers.
* Ability to support multiple streams of work in-flight while contributing to strategic future-state planning.
* Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with Simpology or similar lending platforms.
* Previous work on projects with Salesforce, BI reporting, or downstream data systems.
* Experience with workflow redesign or onboarding automation.
