Who are we?
Williams Electrical Service Pty Ltd is based in Balcatta, WA. With long term customers and our reputation in providing great customer service, safe and high-quality electrical project delivery and maintenance services, we are a company with a 70-year strong history and solid foundation.
Williams Electrical Service Pty Ltd recognises the value of an inclusive and diverse work environment. We take pride in the diversity of our people and encourage applications from people of all genders, ages, and backgrounds. Our recruitment decisions are based on the key inherent needs and requirements of each role, and candidates are selected on their unique strengths and characteristics.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you will be the engine room of our HR function. You'll provide vital administrative support across the entire employee lifecycle—from the moment a candidate applies to their ongoing professional development.
This is a progressive role designed for someone who is ready to kickstart or level up their HR career. We are committed to your success and will provide comprehensive on-the-job training with a clear view to seeing you grow into a more senior role within our organisation.
What You'll Do
* HR Administration: Maintain accurate records in Employment Hero, prepare employment contracts, and manage the HR inbox with a professional touch.
* Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with job postings, schedule interviews, and coordinate exciting inductions for our new starters.
* Compliance & Reporting: Ensure we meet all legislative requirements (like Fair Work) and generate reports on headcount and leave metrics.
* Employee Support: Act as the first point of contact for general HR queries, supporting performance reviews and engagement initiatives.
* Process Improvement: Help us find better ways to work by identifying efficiencies and assisting with the rollout of new HR tools.
Who You Are
We value attitude as much as experience.
We are looking for:
* A "Can-Do" Approach: You bring energy, passion, and an open mind to every challenge.
* Integrity & Discretion: You handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
* Detail-Oriented: You have a high level of accuracy and strong organisational skills.
* Tech-Savvy: You are proficient in Microsoft Office (experience with Employment Hero is a plus!).
* A Lifelong Learner: You have a genuine willingness to learn and develop within the HR function.
Requirements
* Previous experience in an administrative role (HR experience is a bonus but not essential).
* Tertiary qualifications in Business/HR/administration desirable but not essential.
* Experience in a role with similar levels of responsibility.
* A current Driver's License.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Benefits of Working With Us
We value integrity, humility, and the empowerment of our people. We recognise achievement and strive for a healthy life balance that enables genuine enjoyment in the workplace.
* Health & Wellbeing: Wellbeing Day, EAP (Employee Assistance Program), and ability to purchase extra leave and a focus on work-life balance.
* Rewards & Perks: Employee discounts via our EH platform and an AFL footy tipping competition with EH points to spend.
* Community and Team Building: Quarterly Company Breakfasts.
For candidates who progress through our screening process, we are obliged to ensure that all candidates have the necessary legal right to work in Australia. We will require you to provide evidence prior to an interview.
