About the Role We’re looking for Senior Logistics and Incident Support Officers to help run our Resource Centre and support logistics operations across the ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA). You’ll lead a small, dedicated team that keeps our warehouse and logistics running smoothly, making a real difference in how we respond to emergencies and support the community. This is a hands-on role where your leadership and initiative will be valued. You’ll work closely with the Assistant Director, Logistics and Incident Support and occasionally support emergency operations outside regular hours. What You’ll Be Doing Oversee day-to-day operations of the Resource Centre. Coordinate warehouse logistics, stock levels, and inventory. Support emergency response logistics when needed. Supervise and mentor team members. Review and improve business processes. Work with Chief Officers to manage stock lines and levels. Prepare reports and briefings using agency systems. Represent the Resource Centre on internal projects and committees. Help source specialist items with the Procurement team. Keep records up to date and compliant with legislation. What We’re Looking For Solid experience in logistics and warehouse operations. Great time management—you can juggle tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. A knack for problem-solving and improving how things are done. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Experience mentoring or supervising others.
