Job Overview
The Governance and Ministerial Services branch provides corporate support services to enable business areas to deliver essential services to the community, staff safety, and implement robust governance arrangements.
This role is responsible for developing and executing an annual internal compliance work plan. Key duties include conducting internal compliance reviews, specifying task details, drafting and presenting compliance reports to executives and the audit committee.
The Assistant Director Compliance and Assurance will ensure the effective implementation of agreed assurance recommendations, provide administrative support to the internal audit secretariat and audit committee, including governing charter development and maintenance.
Applicants should be excellent communicators, customer-focused, IT-savvy and willing to tackle complex challenges. Critical thinking and innovation skills are required to identify root causes of non-compliance, assess risk, and develop solutions to enhance internal controls and continuous improvement within a diverse organisation.
Key Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in audit, compliance or related fields
* Demonstrated experience in assessing compliance against legislative, regulatory, and policy frameworks
* Experience in risk management, quality management, and/or government investigations desirable
