With a thriving online presence and a national footprint of physical stores, this well-established business is entering an exciting phase of evolution - and they're looking for a confident Senior Buyer for their Girls Wear Section to help shape the future of their offering.
In this role, you'll report to the Head Buyer and take full ownership of your Girls Wear category, managing a high volume of SKUs and working cross-functionally across planning, design, and marketing. You'll thrive in an agile environment where your commercial instincts, attention to data, and ability to spot trends will directly influence performance. You will come from a background of wholesale or commercial buying, with a strong knowledge of local and overseas market trends, as this is where you learnt to manage multiple brands. If you're someone who leads with both numbers and intuition, and you enjoy curating ranges that genuinely resonate with customers, this role could be your perfect fit.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the product selection, planning, and buying process across high-volume, seasonal fashion categories
- Analyse sales and market trends to inform range development and buying decisions
- Collaborate closely with planning teams to forecast, manage budgets, and optimise stock levels
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate effectively to achieve margin goals
- Present strategy and performance updates to senior stakeholders, using data to drive decisions
- Continuously improve the assortment by conducting post-season reviews and identifying key learnings
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years of Girls Wear Buying experience - working with Girls Wear trends from local and overseas
- A sharp eye for commercial opportunity and trend alignment
- Strong planning and financial acumen
- Proven ability to drive results in a fast-paced retail business
- A collaborative and positive leadership style, with the ability to influence others
- Passion for product and a customer-first mindset
