This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, highly organised, and service-driven, with the ability to support families through sensitive and meaningful moments while coordinating professional funeral services.
The Role
As a Funeral Conductor / Arranger, you will work closely with families and the local team to arrange and conduct dignified funeral services. You will play a key role in ensuring services run smoothly while providing empathetic, professional support to families during their time of need.
Key responsibilities include:
* Meeting with families to arrange and coordinate funeral services in line with their wishes
* Conducting and overseeing funeral services with professionalism and respect
* Providing exceptional customer service to families, clients, and internal stakeholders
* Supporting day-to-day operations at the location
* Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and quality standards
* Assisting with preparation, coordination, and service delivery as required
* Contributing to a collaborative and respectful team environment
* Supporting health, safety, and wellbeing standards in the workplace
About You
Essential:
* Experience in a service-focused environment or the ability to quickly learn
* Current unrestricted driver's licence
* Comfortable working in circumstances involving death, grief, and deceased persons
* Strong communication skills with a calm, empathetic approach
* High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
* Sensitivity and respect for diverse values, beliefs, and cultural practices
* Physically and psychologically fit to manage manual handling, stress, and the inherent requirements of the role
Desirable:
* Exposure to or understanding of the funeral services industry, or willingness to learn
* Background in hospitality, retail, community services, or a similar people-focused industry
