As part of this commitment, reporting to the Vice President of Tailings, Closure and Hydrology, this role will focus on the technical and regulatory aspects of TSF management, encompassing a broader remit of responsibilities. It involves coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to align operational practices with global leading practices and regulatory requirements, thus playing a vital role in the sustainable and responsible management of tailings facilities.
This is a hybrid position based in the Perth Office within our Group Technical function, with regular travel to site required, and is offered on a 5-day on, 2-day off schedule.

What will you do?
As the RTFE, you will:
* Develop and maintain Group-level processing-related safety processes, including critical risk identification, mitigation, and assurance.
* Manage Engineer of Record activities in collaboration with asset Tailings Engineering teams and provide input to reviews and audits.
* Facilitate best practice identification and knowledge sharing across the business.
* Consult with design, construction, operations and technical support teams to ensure implementation of risk controls and TSF compliance.
* Undertake engineering studies across the lifecycle of TSFs.
* Support the ongoing maintenance of the requirements of the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM).
* Collaborate with site leadership and tailings facilities engineers to align operational and financial objectives with corporate goals through the development of unified Business, Strategic, and life-of-mine (LoM) plans.
* Develop, update, and support (including management and assurance) the group processing standards and guidelines.
* Maintain a collaborative relationship with other business units and external parties, contribute to knowledge building and awareness, and influence decision making regarding tailings management.

What will you bring and contribute?

* Extensive technical experience in a geotechnical or civil engineering field.
* Demonstrable experience in tailings design, operation, and management and/or TSF and earthworks construction projects.
* Completed a bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or other tertiary qualifications related to tailings management.
* Display an active progression towards the Professional Engineering designation.
* Demonstrated experience with geotechnical slope stability instrumentation and monitoring programs, data management, and analysis, GIS exposure and LOM plans
* Extensive knowledge of the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM).
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels and disciplines.
