We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Legal Administrator. The ideal candidate will have experience in workers compensation and personal injury claims, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist solicitors with day-to-day operations of files/client management across personal injury files but mainly workers compensation.
* Transcribe author dictations to a high standard, within a timely manner.
* Draft legal documents, such as notice of appeal, list of documents, claim forms and schedule of damages with excellent attention to detail.
* Coordinate medico-legal appointments, compulsory conferences and mediations.
* Cultivate strong relationships with clients, employees, Counsel and other external stakeholders.
* Support the legal team with optimising the use of internal systems to process information.
* Prepare matters for conference and hearing, including preparation of court and legal documents and general correspondence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar position, with exposure to workers compensation, TPD, military compensation and personal injury claims (e.g. public liability, motor vehicle, WorkCover and/or medical negligence).
* Accurate typing skills with intermediate Word & Excel skills.
* Keen eye for detail in document management and collation skills.
* Great communication both verbally and in writing.
* Organisational skills including management of author's diary.
