Electrician – Fixed Plant | 7/7 Roster | DIDO
An opportunity is available for anexperienced Electrician –Fixed Plant to join a well‑established mining operation in Far North Queensland. This is an ongoing role suited toelectricians with strong fixed plant experience and a safety‑focused approach to work.
About the Role
Youwill be responsible for electrical inspections, maintenance, and breakdownsupport across fixed plant assets within an operational mine site. The roleinvolves physically demanding work and requires a strong understanding ofelectrical safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform electrical inspections and preventative maintenance
2. Execute planned and unplanned breakdown maintenance
3. Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and service fixed plant electrical equipment
4. Interpret electrical drawings and specifications
5. Identify and manage electrical risks on site
6. Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety legislation and site procedures
7. Work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams
What You’ll Need to Succeed
8. Trade qualified Electrician with a current QLD Electrical Licence
9. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar environment
10. Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
11. Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLCs
12. Safety focused, reliable, and team‑oriented
13. LVR / CPR certification (essential)
14. Current C Class Driver’s Licence
15. Experience in mining or heavy industry (highly regarded)
