About the roles
With your skills and experience, you can contribute to the millions of ways we're enhancing health and wellness while developing your career as part of the largest health organisation in Australia.
The role is responsible for the coordination, development and evaluation of strategic and clinical maternity and newborn policies and programs, in alignment with NSW Health priorities. This includes the implementation of Connecting, listening and responding: A Blueprint for Action – Maternity Care in NSW, the recommendations of the Inquiry into Birth Trauma, strengthening the tiered perinatal network across NSW and improving pathways to termination of pregnancy care.
Roles available:
* Role 1: Senior Policy Officer, Full Time, Ongoing
* Role 2: Senior Policy Officer, Full Time, Temporary (up to 12 months)
* Role 3: Senior Policy Officer, Full Time, Temporary (up to 30 May 2027)
* Role 4: Senior Policy Officer, Full Time, Temporary (up to 09 May 2027)
Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $129,464-$142,665 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week, work location - 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards.

What you'll be doing
The successful candidate will contribute to policy, strategy and projects that support better outcomes for pregnant women, their babies and families in collaboration with key stakeholders in maternity and newborn services across NSW.
The successful candidate will be experienced in communication and collaboration to maximise the broader capacity of the health system to generate results. Experience in the health system would be highly valued.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated relevant professional experience in maternity and/or newborn policy.
* Substantial experience in developing, analysing and evaluating complex maternity and/or newborn policy and programs in a multi-disciplinary and/or multi-agency environment.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver on complex maternity and/or newborn policy and programs.
