Our Specialist client is looking for an experiencedMedical Receptionist to join their team at the Health Hub at Chermside on Brisbane's northside.
This is a full‐time position – the hours will be rostered within the hours of 8.00am‐6pm Monday to Friday (one day per month there is a 7am start and 6pm finish). These shifts are shared amongst the staff. This will be an office‐based position with on‐street parking available.
This role will involve:
* Greeting patients as they arrive at our clinic in the warm manner that we are known for – making them feel genuinely welcome and comfortable as soon as they walk through the door of our clinic.
* Answering phone calls in that same welcoming manner.
* Appointment schedule management.
* Surgery/Theatre schedule management, Quoting and Billing.
* Processing patient payments – both specialist and allied health.
* Scanning and digitising patient records.
* Adhoc Medical typing as required (templates only).
The skills we seek:
* Ability to work cooperatively within a multi‐disciplinary team and autonomously.
* Ability to handle a fast paced environment.
* Understanding of privacy and confidentiality in a health care setting.
Previous experience we value:
* Experience working within a busy specialist practice is ideal! However allied health or General Practice experience will also be considered.
* Experience using Patient Management software (eg. Shexie, Best Practice, Genie etc).
* Competence in using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and in working with PDF files.
Salary: Commensurate with Skills but expected to commence at $35/hr plus Super permanent. This position can commence immediately or when the suitable candidate is available.
Hours: This role is full‐time working 8.00am‐4.00pm or 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday Friday. Very occasionally there is an early start of 7am and a late finish of 6pm shared amongst the staff.
