This department is based in a freshly refurbished building in the centre of Canberra and which work on the policy and legislation towards on the development and protection of the future of Australia. Due to natural attrition, this organisation is looking for a Performance Reporting specialist to join their team as an EL1 Assistant Director Performance and Planning Officer on a permanent basis through a Section 26 transfer.
**Your new role**

Do you want to ensure that a departmental position is on track to what the department is targeting? As the Performance Reporting Officer you will be supporting the production of the Corporate Plan, Annual Report and performance information in the Portfolio Budget Statements. Working with a range of internal an external stakeholders you will support the department integrated business planning process. Day to Day life for you will look like:
- Providing strategic and technical advice and guidance to the department on development performance measures
- Facilitating business planning through an integrated planning process
- Supporting the ANAO's audit of the Annual Performance Statements
- Facilitating and supporting good practice governance activities throughout the department and contributing to continual improvement
As you will be engaging and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally, well-developed communication skills with the ability to foster professional relationships whilst building rapport and trust is a must.

Your organisation skills, paired with your analytical skills will help you stand out from the crowd. Your previous experience in a coordination role will prove beneficial for you to best support this Federal Government Department. To succeed in this role, you will show:
- Experience in considering and effectively managing competing priorities and strategic directions when achieving team planning and project outcomes
- Willingness to take initiative and drive work outcomes independently and as a part of a team
- Strong organisational skills combined with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage competing priorities
To be considered for this role you must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
