Join our dynamic team within Academic Affairs as an Educational Designer, where you will work closely with the Dean (Academic) to provide hands-on support to our academic staff to enhance and improve curriculum and pedagogy by supporting the design, development and writing of innovative and engaging programs and course-related resources. This is your chance to make a significant impact on the educational experiences of our students and contribute to the advancement of innovative teaching practices.
**What you'll do**:
Reporting to the Dean (Academic), you will play an important role in the design, development, and evaluation of courses to ensure engaging, effective and high-quality learning and assessment experiences for UniSQ students. In particular, you will:
- provide expert advice and support around learning innovations and pedagogies to enhance student learning.
- collaborate with academic staff, Liaison Librarians and other service providers to create an integrated service model that supports academics in their teaching practice.
- support the development of Learning Management System course-sites (StudyDesk via Moodle) interfaces and support the use of digital learning resources and technologies to enhance student learning.
- maintain up-to-date applied working knowledge and expertise in relation to educational technologies and contemporary learning theories, models and practices.
**What will help you succeed**:
Together with your relevant qualification, your expert knowledge and experience in learning and teaching theories and practices will be key to your success in this role. You will also have:
- extensive experience designing learning and teaching resources, approaches and student user interfaces and experiences on Moodle or another Learning Management System.
- Proven experience in writing, co-creating and producing learning and teaching documents and other resources, including but not limited to, assessment descriptions, rubrics and chunked lecture materials.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
