Senior ECC Veterinary Nurse | CARE, Collingwood

We are seeking a qualified Veterinary Nurse with substantial experience in Emergency and Critical Care nursing. Additional qualifications are preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, calm under pressure, and capable of leading by example in a fast paced environment.

In this role you will take ownership of patient care, mentor junior nurses, and contribute to clinical decision making while expanding your own advanced ECC skill set.

Ideally you are already operating at a senior level, or ready to step confidently into it.

• Delivering a high standard of holistic nursing care to critically ill and injured patients, from triage through their entire CARE journey.
• Acting as a senior clinical resource during shifts, supporting both nursing and veterinary teams.
• Mentoring and guiding less experienced nurses to build confidence, skills, and clinical judgement.
• Managing day flow to ensure productivity across the hospital.
• Assisting with anaesthesia, advanced procedures, and surgery.
• Performing in-house laboratory testing, complemented by advanced diagnostic tools including ultrasound, endoscopy and CT.
• Undertaking specific front-desk duties outside of normal reception hours and providing clear, compassionate support to clients via telephone.
