Involvement in BAU support and projects. ROLE SNAPSHOT: Application Support Analyst role to support internal users across several core business applications (all vendor based). You'll act as a key liaison with vendors (escalations/improvements) and support business improvement through data analysis and reporting. Team-based role involving considerable collaboration, problem solving, and end-user interaction. Responsibilities include: Act as the first point of contact for all core business applications issues. Investigate, analyse, and diagnose application-related issues to identify root causes and troubleshoot through to resolution. Act as the key point of contact with application vendors for escalated issues and system enhancements. Monitor and troubleshoot application and database performance (MS SQL). Write and optimise SQL queries for reporting and troubleshooting. Develop and modify reports using Crystal Reports, SSRS and MS Access. End user training. Assist in testing, deployment, and support of new applications/upgrades. Ensure IT security and integrity is maintained across all applications. Provide after-hours support as required. Maintain up-to-date documentation This is a full time in office role. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / BACKGROUND / QUALITIES: Suitable for an Application Support professional with proven experience triaging, troubleshooting and resolving software-related issues. MS SQL Server (query and report writing) skills are required, as is the need to be full time in the office. The following is required: Proven Application/Software Support experience with the triage & troubleshooting of software-related issues. 1-3 years MS SQL Server experience, troubleshooting/writing SQL queries and writing/modify reports. Demonstrate good knowledge of MS SQL databases - data locations, structure, interactions etc. Windows Server experience is beneficial. Personality & attitude - proactive with a good sense of accountability capable of working independently and self-management, yet not afraid to ask questions and collaborate with others. Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills who wants to pursue a career in application/software support. Able to work full time in the office.
