About The Role
Royal Prince Alfred is the principal teaching hospital of the University of Sydney and offers speciality services from its main campus as well as from Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics, Chris O'Brien Lifehouse and Dame Edith Walker Hospitals. RPAH is one of Australia's leading hospitals, providing an extensive range of diagnostic and treatment services. Its specialities include cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, cancer, respiratory medicine, neurology, liver and kidney transplants. The Level 2 Medical Radiation Scientist ('MRS') is responsible for the provision of quality patient care whilst performing a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Department of Molecular Imaging (the 'Department'), under the immediate direction of the Senior MRS. This involves the preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals, patient imaging, collection and analysis of data, quality control and recording data.
Ideal Candidate
* Holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiation Science) Nuclear Medicine.
* Licensed with the EPA or eligible and is registered with AHPRA for national accreditation.
* Holds valid Australian Work rights.
* Good comprehension of routine diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures including PET-CT imaging and a basic understanding of therapeutic procedures.
