Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lifestyle Team Leader to join our team at Aged Care Facility. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
The successful candidate will lead a team in developing and delivering personalized leisure and lifestyle programs that cater to the unique needs and preferences of our residents. Your leadership will ensure that our activities promote overall well-being, health, happiness, and mental stimulation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage a monthly calendar of group activities tailored to residents' needs and preferences.
* Identify and nurture residents' individual talents, hobbies, and lifestyle interests.
* Oversee the implementation of leisure and lifestyle activities, ensuring they meet the physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of residents.
* Collaborate with the care team to support residents' care plans and report any changes in resident care to the registered nurse in charge.
* Foster an inclusive and flexible approach to service provision, ensuring resident safety and wishes are prioritized.
* Support and mentor new Lifestyle Officers, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.
* Ensure all activities comply with aged care quality standards and organizational policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Lifestyle Officer in an aged care setting.
* Certificate III or IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or similar) is desirable.
* Current NDIS Worker Check (or willing to obtain)
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Creative and flexible in designing and implementing activities.
* Commitment to resident-centred care and enhancing quality of life.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
