As a Youth Worker, you'll provide trauma-informed, therapeutic support to children and young people. You'll be part of a team that believes in the power of connection, healing, and hope—working to create safe, nurturing environments where young people can thrive.
What You'll Do
* Support daily care needs and plan activities aligned with individual care plans and goals.
* Role model positive behaviours and apply age-appropriate strategies.
* Communicate effectively with staff and management regarding youth-related matters.
* Safely transport clients in accordance with legal and safety guidelines.
* Maintain accurate and compliant program records and documentation.
* Deliver culturally inclusive services, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, to support sustainable outcomes in a culturally safe environment.
What You'll Bring
* Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent.
* Experience working with children and young people in care.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
* Current driver's licence (P2 minimum).
* Understanding of child protection and domestic violence frameworks (desirable).
* Possess or the ability to obtain a National Police Check, Blue Card (Working with Children) and a Licensed Care Services (LCS).
