About the Roles 
We are looking for a Full Time Sous Chef to join us at our iconic venue, Manly Pavilion. As a Sous Chef you will support the Executive Chef and play an integral role in leading the day to day operations of Manly Pavilion ensuring a high quality food offering and dining experience for our guests. 
In this role you will be responsible for: 
- Effective stock management including but not limited to; ordering, receipting, storing (including best practice cellar management) and stock rotation; 
- Effective people practices including, but not limited to; recruitment, onboarding, performance management; 
- Supporting the effective development (WHS, technology use, product knowledge, job related task performance) of team members to meet and exceed The Boathouse Group’s objectives through individual and team performance; 
- Ongoing maintenance of all food offerings and their delivery in the kitchen; 
We are also on the lookout for Chefs of all other levels looking for Full time or Casual employment to join us for the busy summer period! 
About You 
To be the perfect addition to our team, you will have 2 years of prior experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior role within high-paced, high-volume kitchen environment where you’ve demonstrated your solid leadership and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure. 
You’ll also be: 
- Motivating and engaging; 
- Able to educate others on current techniques in all sections and maintain high standards of quality and presentation; 
- Have a confident and can-do attitude; 
- Be friendly, approachable and genuine; 
- Be a team player with a collaborative working style; 
All Chefs are required to possess a qualification in professional cookery (Certificate III) or similar from a recognised training institute or international equivalent. 
We prefer someone who is an Australia Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen however sponsorship is not off the menu for the right person after a successful probationary period.
