Your key responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive and accurate assessments of residents' physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. Developing, implementing, and contributing to individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team. Safe and accurate management and administration of medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, etc.) according to facility policies and procedures. Providing a wide range of clinical care and performing necessary nursing procedures, such as wound care, catheter management, and pain management. Effectively leading and supervising Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), delegating tasks appropriately and providing guidance. Maintaining clear and effective communication and collaboration with residents, their families, medical practitioners, allied health professionals, and other members of the care team. Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all assessments, care plans, interventions, and observations in accordance with legal and organisational requirements. Recognizing and responding promptly and appropriately to emergency situations, following established protocols. Implementing strategies to promote residents' overall well-being, independence, and quality of life. Contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff, adhering to infection control guidelines. To be successful in this role, you will need: Current and unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse. A minimum of six (6) months of recent clinical experience working as a Registered Nurse within the Aged Care sector in Australia. A current and valid Influenza vaccination (annual renewal required). Evidence of having received at least three (3) COVID-19 vaccinations. A valid and current National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (as required by legislation and facility policies).
