You prioritise the safety of yourself and others at work, both physically and mentally.
You've been developing your skills and are ready to work on projects that matter to the people of NSW. You know that quality matters and that delivering results requires a great team.
In this role, you'll:
Carry out safe, efficient carpentry work to support the maintenance of bridges and drainage structures. This includes operating a range of tools and small plant, completing equipment checks and basic maintenance, and performing both routine and complex manual tasks with limited supervision. You'll work independently as well as collaboratively within a supportive team.
You'll take part in planning, problem solving and continuous improvement activities, while at times guiding apprentices or small work groups to ensure consistently high quality outcomes. A strong understanding of WHS and environmental procedures is essential—covering hazard identification, risk control and correct waste management. You'll also follow established quality procedures, conduct accurate measurements and complete required documentation to ensure all work meets specification standards.
We're seeking someone who models safe behaviours, maintains high work standards and demonstrates the organisation's Five Ways of Leading to deliver positive outcomes for customers, colleagues and the broader community.
This is a permanent full time position based in Goulburn, and applicants must live within 100 km of the Goulburn Works Depot.
