0.2 EFT - for two years from date of commencement. There is an exciting opportunity for a consultant paediatrician to be part of the new Southern Melbourne Pathway to Good Health clinic.

**About the Monash Health Developmental and Community Paediatric Unit**

The Developmental and Community Paediatrics Unit within the Monash Children's Hospital provides outpatient multidisciplinary assessment of children with complex developmental and behavioral presentations onsite at Monash Children's Hospital and in community settings.

The Southern Melbourne Targeted Support for Children in Care (the Pathway to Good Health, PTGH) project is a new partnership between the Monash Health Developmental and Community Paediatric Unit and the Victorian Department of Health. The aim of the PTGH Service is to provide consistent and high-quality models of care to children entering statutory care settings. Southern Melbourne PTGH will be one of seventeen services in DFFH areas across Victoria.

The model of care is:

- All children (from birth up to and including 17 years) entering care have their health needs reviewed at the earliest opportunity, using a trauma informed framework and evidence-based tools
- The need for screening, assessment and or treatment services is assessed, and referrals made for these services
- Carers are supported to access and navigate required health services
- Multidisciplinary assessment for children who are identified as having complex needs will be provided within the PTGH team through comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment and the development of a health management plan for each child
- Health management plans and treatment recommendations will be shared with child protection, who are responsible for following through on plans
- Sites will leverage and expand existing service capacity, and utilise established connections with community and local partnerships, through a range of strategies including co-location, working collaboratively, and secondary consultation, to support holistic care
- The principles of child centred and culturally safe care underpin all aspects of service delivery

**What You Need**:

- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics)
- Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications
- Working with Children's Certificate
- Excellent skills and experience in complex neurodevelopmental disorders
- High level leadership and collaborative skills
- Excellent communication
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work well within secondary consultation models of care
- Ability to creating and deliver evidence-based education material
- Experience in education of health practitioners
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders
