We are seeking an exceptional Site Operations Manager to lead our construction sites in high-risk rail environments. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled professional who can take full ownership of site operations and ensure the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of works.
As a Site Operations Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of works, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Safety teams. You will manage site interfaces with other workgroups, contractors, and infrastructure projects, and provide practical, technical, and safety advice on construction methodologies.
Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as the Principal Contractor Representative, as delegated by the Project Manager
* Managing site interfaces with other workgroups, contractors, and infrastructure projects
* Leading the safe and efficient delivery of construction works, including procurement of labour, plant, and materials
* Providing practical, technical, and safety advice on construction methodologies
* Reporting on work progress, safety, and site conditions to project stakeholders
* Supporting a strong safety culture and managing risks in dynamic work environments
This is a hands-on, site-based leadership role that requires strong communication and collaboration skills. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, regulatory bodies, and project partners.
The successful candidate will have:
* Previous experience as a Construction Manager or Site Manager in a high-risk environment
* Solid knowledge of plant and equipment, and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
* A current and valid NSW Class C driver's licence
