Acute Frailty Consultant
Welcome to this exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team as a substantive consultant in the Department of Older People's Medicine. This is a full-time, part-time or flexible working position that offers a unique chance to contribute your expertise and passion for geriatric care.
1. As an acute frailty consultant, you will be responsible for running ward rounds on the virtual ward, supported by junior doctors and acting as clinical supervisor for the team. You will also lead daily consult-led board rounds via video conferencing.
2. You will work closely with emergency department staff to complete frailty assessments at the front door and cover sessions on various days of the week. Your role will involve collaborating with other teams, such as social services and community therapists, to provide seamless care for patients.
