Position Title: Cyber Security Pre-Sales (Technical Pre-Sales)

Role Purpose:
The Cyber Security Technical PreSales Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting Baidam's sales process by providing expert guidance on cybersecurity solutions, with a strong emphasis on Baidam's proprietary services and related vendor technologies.
Reporting to the National Sales Director, this role works closely with the Sales, Professional Services and Managed Services Teams to design and communicate tailored cyber solutions. This role will help drive business growth by building customer trust and helping deliver innovative cybersecurity solutions.

* Collaborate with Sales to understand customer requirements and develop tailored cyber security solutions.
* Create and develop key vendor and customer relationships.
* Act as a trusted advisor to clients on cybersecurity strategy, architecture and technical roadmaps.
* Design comprehensive cybersecurity solutions using industry best practices and frameworks.
* Maintain confidentiality, data integrity, and safety standards.

* Create and maintain contacts and relationships with clients to help generate pipeline.
* Respond to RFPs and RFIs with clear, concise and solution-oriented documentation.
* Deliver Technical presentations, product demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for key vendors and technology partners.
* Recommend appropriate technologies and solutions in line with the Baidam vendor eco system.
* Achieve and maintain a relevant range of key industry and vendor based certifications in designated technology areas and actively participate in ongoing enablement.
* Lead technical discovery sessions and facilitate security workshops.
* Engage in solution scoping and planning in collaboration with delivery teams.
* Address technical objections and mitigate risks throughout the sales cycle.
Number of technical client meetings and relationships established that contribute to sales pipeline growth
Number and quality of responses to RFPs/RFIs submitted within determined time frames
Number of technical presentations/ demonstrations/ PoCs delivered
Internal Collaboration and Enablement
* Provide internal advice and support to sales team on vendor and solution updates.
* Contribute to the refinement of go-to-market offerings, value proposition, and differentiators.
* Represent the organisation at industry events and client engagements.

Expected Behaviours and Competencies:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a cybersecurity engineering, delivering solutions within the Baidam key vendor eco system.
* Demonstrated experience developing and presenting enterprise-level cyber solutions.
* Familiarity with current Australian regulatory and compliance requirements.
* Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of enterprise sales cycles.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical detail to non-technical audiences.
* Exceptional organisation and time management with commitment to deadlines and being responsive to high-priority items.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy, delivering consistently accurate work and upholding a high standard within the team.
