About the role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our Adelaide team. The role involves overseeing all financial aspects of projects from inception to completion, ensuring contract compliance, and maximizing project profitability.
Responsibilities
- Provide regular briefings, analyses, and summaries of complex legal, technical, and commercial bid and contract issues for non‐specialist audiences and executives.
- Governance oversight of client contracts to ensure compliance and maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to manage project finances effectively.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support project goals.
- Monitor and analyze project financial performance, identifying improvement areas.
- Negotiate key supply and works subcontracts and obtain internal approvals for derogations from standard subcontract terms per procurement policy.
Qualifications
- Degree in accounting or law.
- Proven experience as a commercial manager in renewable, utilities, or EPC industry.
- Significant strategic commercial experience in a hard‐dollar or lump‐sum environment, preferably within large construction and engineering companies.
- Strong understanding of project finance and contract management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
