Supervisor Structural Remediation (Casual)
Role:
JWS are recruiting for a Supervisor to join our SIMS (structural remediation crew). We have a long-term contract for ongoing maintenance and shutdown works in the Southwest region.
Roster:
* Dayshift: 7 days on – 7 days off roster
* 12hrs shifts
* Drive IN - Drive OUT
* Immediate start required
We are looking for individuals with structural remediation experience who thrive on working in team environments and developing collectively.
The successful applicant will have:
* Cert III or IV in Engineering – Fabrication, Mechanical, or Construction
* Valid Driving License
* WTIA Basic Inspector or CSWIP 3.1 Certification a requirement.
* S26 Certification
* Working at Heights (within 2 years)
* Confined Space (within 2 years)
* Construction Induction Card (White or Blue card)
* Rigging and Forklift tickets would be beneficial
* Ability to pass a pre-employment and site medical testing
Key Responsibilities include:
* Supervise structural remediation works on steel structures, including repairs, reinforcements, replacements, and corrosion protection
* Coordinate and lead a team of trades (boilermakers, mechanical fitters, riggers, blaster/painters.)
* Ensure all work is performed in accordance with engineering drawings, scopes of work, andqualitystandards
* Monitor daily progress, productivity, and resource allocation to meet project deadlines
* Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and safety personnel to coordinate activities and resolve issues
* Oversee permit to work systems, JHAs, and SWMS compliance
* Ensure all remedial work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification
* Perform quality checks and signoffs, including surface prep, welding inspections, coating application, and structural alignment
