CEQ will commence a new chapter as an incorporated body, providing a contemporary, sustainable governance model for the future of Catholic education. As part of the change CEQ is seeking a visionary and values-driven leader to step into the role of Deputy Executive Director who will commence work in January 2026.This is a rare opportunity to join an organisation with a statewide mandate and a mission that reaches beyond education—into the heart of community, service, and faith. As Deputy Executive Director, you will work closely with the Executive Director and the new CEQ Board to:Lead Strategic Governance ReformDeliver the final stages of a landmark governance review and manage the transition to an independent corporate structure, ensuring effective change management, policy implementation, and communication across all stakeholders.Represent and AdvocateAct as a key voice of Catholic education in Queensland whilst developing and sustaining high-level relationships with government, parliament, peak education bodies, and the broader community to advocate for equitable funding, strategic reform, and educational excellence.Drive Organisational LeadershipFoster a culture of service, effectiveness, and continuous improvement across the CEQ Secretariat by providing oversight across risk, legal, compliance, audit, and strategic reporting.
