Electrical Manufacturing, but not as you know it
Some people just manage accounts. Not you. You drive them forward.
You don't wait for the brief – you shape it. You lead clients toward solutions they didn’t even know they needed.
This is real account management and business development. It’s technical, commercial, strategic, and involves solving complex problems.
You’ll be part of an innovative and evolving business that’s investing in growth – real growth. Think in-house R&D, a broad product offering, and a solutions team that’s got your back. Add to that strong leadership, and you've got the right kind of support to not just do your job – but do it brilliantly.
You’ll have the freedom to create and deliver real solutions. Your travel will be meaningful – focused on high-value regional markets where your impact actually matters. No soul-sucking red-eye flights just for the sake of it.
You're the conduit between customer chaos and engineering execution. You’re the person who understands what the client actually needs (not just what they say they want) and translates that into commercially viable solutions with your internal teams.
You’ll have a specific region to manage. You’ll build relationships with multiple stakeholders across those organisations. You’ll know their sites better than they do. And you'll work closely with product specialists, engineers, and project managers to make things happen.
This isn’t a role where you babysit a portfolio. This is a role where you grow it.
Why Ampcontrol?
Ampcontrol isn’t your average manufacturer. They’re engineering smart, scalable solutions for critical infrastructure. Think substations, tunnelling, electrification, high-voltage systems. Big stuff. The kind of stuff that matters when you flip a switch and expect something to happen.
They're Australian-owned, growing, and investing heavily in innovation and sustainability. If you're tired of selling widgets with no purpose, try selling solutions with impact.
What you’ll need:
* You’ve managed major accounts in mining, utilities or heavy industry
* You know how to work a CRM, a budget, and a boardroom
* You’re not afraid to have the hard conversations (with clients or colleagues)
* You get technical complexity but can still talk like a human
* An electrical background will be handy, but not essential. What matters is your ability to think commercially, solve problems creatively, and deliver.
