As a leading provider of sustainable energy solutions, EPSA provides new and used engines, generators, and hybrid energy systems for a broad range of industries. We also specialise in rental solutions for power generators, compressors, and temperature control systems.
We are seeking a National Sales Manager – Commercial Power to lead and grow EPSA's Commercial Power business across Australia. This is a strategically important and newly created role with clear national ownership of performance, execution, and customer outcomes within the Commercial Power segment.
About the role
The National Sales Manager – Commercial Power is accountable for the commercial performance of the Commercial Power segment nationally, including Electric Power Retail (EPR) and non‐data centre standby power applications.
The role spans sales leadership, segment strategy, and operational alignment, working closely with Sales, Operations, and Solutions to deliver disciplined and profitable growth. You will also act as the primary point of accountability for engagement with Caterpillar and key partners across the Commercial Power segment.
Working closely with the Executive General Manager – Sales, segment managers, and internal support teams (engineering, pre‐contracts, project management, finance, and marketing), the role plays a critical part in increasing qualified opportunities and maximising sales and project revenue.
A Day in the Life of EPSA's National Sales Manager – Commercial Power
* Providing strategic leadership across the Commercial Power sales function nationally
* Leading and coaching a high‐performing, geographically dispersed sales team
* Being hands‐on in major project pursuits — leading negotiations and key customer engagements
* Aligning national sales activity to EPSA's Corporate Big 3, Go‐to‐Market strategy, and Caterpillar PINS targets
* Driving a strong performance culture focused on revenue, margin, win rate, and customer outcomes
* Establishing and embedding sales infrastructure, forecasting discipline, and pipeline management
* Identifying priority market segments, growth opportunities, and future strategic pipelines
* Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to deliver integrated, fit‐for‐purpose power solutions
* Managing and strengthening relationships with Caterpillar dealer partners to support after‐sales success
* Collecting and translating market intelligence into targeted sales and growth strategies
We're looking for someone who:
* Is trade or degree qualified in a relevant business, engineering, or project management discipline
* Brings strong experience with large diesel and/or gas engines, turbines, or complex power solutions
* Has a strong understanding of Commercial Power customer requirements, applications, and buying drivers
* Understands long‐cycle, project‐based sales environments and complex decision‐making processes
* Has demonstrated experience leading and developing a national or geographically dispersed team
* Is commercially sharp, with strong financial acumen and experience managing revenue, margin, and budgets
* Is confident influencing senior stakeholders internally and externally
* Thrives on balancing strategic leadership with hands‐on sales involvement
* Can design and implement process improvements to lift sales effectiveness and forecast accuracy
* Is resilient, driven, and persistent when navigating major project pursuits
* Is comfortable using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms (desirable)
