The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Gas Pipeline Technician (Electrical + Instrumentation) to join our team in Townsville where you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient, safe, and effective execution of work on the North Queensland Gas Pipeline.
* Maintain updates and repairs to control systems.
* Perform fiscal and non-fiscal calibrations on all transmitters and perform metering validations.
* Maintain and gather readings from cathodic protection system.
* Manage E&l maintenance documentation and electronic records.
* Performs repairs and troubleshooting, installations, and updates on PLC Programming equipment.
* Manage stock levels of E&I spare parts.
* Regular and routine Pipeline Patrols.
* Liaison work with landholders, stakeholders and public authorities.
* 100% compliance with OH&S and workplace policies and procedures.
What We Are Looking For
* Electrical license and trade qualification, and a valid driver's license.
* Cert III in instrumentation and control.
* Cert IV Hazardous areas – Electrical.
* NACE CP tester accreditation - highly regarded.
* Type B Gas appliance - Service, commission and install or willingness to obtain competency.
* Experience working on or around underground assets.
* High pressure gas experience – preferred.
* Forklift HRWL - highly regarded.
* Work experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation maintenance in either Chemical Manufacturing, Oil &Gas or a Mineral Processing environment.
