About the Role:
You will play a critical role in changing a young person's life by providing around-the-clock care to youth in need. As a Residential Care Worker, you will be part of a team that supports young people aged 12 to 17 in our care placements.
Responsibilities:
* Buildd positive relationships with young people and your fellow team members
* Follow a routine developed specifically for a young person's needs
* Transport young people to and from school, day programs, and appointments
* Complete activities and enjoy mealtimes together
* Assist in the implementation of programs designed for growth and development of young people
* Complete summary notes
* Create a safe and homely environment for young people to live in and enjoy
Requirements:
* Current Working with Children Check (for paid employment)
* Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; Course Code HLTAID003)
* National Police Check (this must be obtained via )
* International Police Check for applicants who have lived continuously for 12 months or more in another country within the last 10 years
* A current driver's licence
* Willingness to participate in a Worker/Carer Exclusion Scheme Check
* Current NDIS Worker Check (can be obtained via )
Qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention; or
* A recognised relevant qualification (if you are unsure please ask)
