We are looking for an experienced Strata Underwriter to join our national Strata team. In this role you will underwrite and negotiate new business, renewals, and mid‐term adjustments while helping to deliver profitable growth and a strong service proposition to broker partners.
Responsibilities
* Underwrite and negotiate Strata risks in line with risk appetite, DUA and underwriting guidelines
* Manage new business renewals and policy adjustments end‐to‐end
* Deliver a high‐quality service experience to brokers, meeting agreed turnaround times and service levels
* Support execution of the Strata go‐to‐market and distribution strategy
* Build and strengthen relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders
* Collaborate closely with Distribution, Claims, Risk Engineering, Pricing, and other underwriting teams
* Contribute to portfolio performance governance and risk management outcomes
* Mentor and support junior underwriters where required
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years experience in Strata underwriting
* Minimum 1 year experience with commercial strata risks (desirable)
* Strong technical knowledge of Strata insurance products and risk assessment
* Excellent broker relationship and stakeholder management skills
* A customer‐focused, solution‐oriented approach
* Commercial acumen with the ability to balance growth and profitability
* Relevant qualification in Business, Commerce, Insurance or similar (desirable)
* Active engagement in the insurance industry (desirable)
