THE ROLE
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Planner to become part of our dedicated and high-achieving Brisbane Planning Team. The role will focus on Infrastructure projects
DUTIES
* Prepare and coordinate development applications, with an emphasis on large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure projects
* Oversee development assessment and approval processes in accordance with State and local planning regulations
* Contribute to due diligence reporting and assist in the preparation of MIDs, EAs, ERAs, and preliminary approval applications (experience in these areas is highly valued)
* Support the successful delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects across a variety of sectors
* Provide strategic and statutory planning advice to clients and project teams
* Engage and negotiate with local and State authorities on diverse development and planning issues
* Collaborate with in-house specialists to deliver cohesive project outcomes, prioritizing innovation, sustainability, and value creation
ABOUT YOU
* A tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline
* Senior Planner: A minimum of 4 years' relevant experience
* Proven experience in the renewable energy sector preferred
* Comprehensive knowledge of Queensland planning legislation, including the Planning Act 2016, DA Rules, State Codes, triggers, and relevant policies, as well as current market trends
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders
* A track record of managing complex development applications
* A proactive, collaborative approach and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality planning outcomes
