We're looking for someone who thrives on organisation, people, and problem-solving to help keep our busy architecture and design studio running at its best.

About Feather & Lawry Design

At Feather & Lawry Design, we believe great design starts with people. Our team of architects, interior designers and draftspeople work together to create spaces that inspire, connect, and endure. From boutique residences to complex commercial projects, our work reflects the values of collaboration, innovation, and care.

We are proud of the inclusive and supportive culture we've built — a place where ideas are valued, relationships are nurtured, and excellence is our shared goal.

About the Role

This is a pivotal role in the studio, where no two days will look the same. You'll be at the centre of our operations, supporting the team, enabling our Directors to focus on projects and strategy, and ensuring our studio continues to be an inspiring and efficient place to work.

Key responsibilities include:

* Studio & Facilities— making sure our workplace is welcoming, well-organised and client-ready.
* People & Culture— recruitment, onboarding, supporting our team's wellbeing, and helping to foster an environment where people thrive.
* HR & Policy— keeping us aligned with best practice and Fair Work requirements, while reflecting our studio values.
* Finance & Insurance— overseeing invoicing, debtor management and financial tracking in collaboration with our Directors and accountant.
* Marketing & Communications— support with social media and communications, reinforcing our strong brand presence in the community.
* Quality Management— maintaining our Quality Management System and assisting with annual audits.
* Operational Support— troubleshooting day-to-day needs, supporting IT and administration, and helping to drive continuous improvement.
* Strategic Projects— assisting the Directors in shaping and progressing the studio's bigger picture goals.

About You

We'll provide training, but to step confidently into this role you'll bring:

* Experience in an Office Manager or Practice Manager position;
* A practical understanding of HR and workplace requirements;
* Initiative, problem-solving skills and an eye for improvement;
* A positive, approachable and adaptable nature;
* Energy and drive to support a dynamic creative studio.

It would also be great if you have:

* Knowledge of Xero and payroll processes;
* An understanding of accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations and reporting.

Why Join Us?

This role is designed to grow with the right person. You'll gain insight into the full workings of a thriving design practice, while having the opportunity to shape and strengthen the way we operate.
