The Principal Management Accountant position reports to the Manager Finance & Business Analysis and plays an integral role in all aspects of the Hospital and Health Service (HHS) financial management including the service agreement, budget process, forecasting, and provision expert analysis and advice to HHS stakeholders ensuring compliance, control and governance in business operations and processes. Key Responsibilities include: * Support the Manager Finance & Business Analysis to manage the Finance & Business Analysis team, providing budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting functions for the HHS, enabling long term financial sustainability and monitor performance against targets. * Support the Manager Finance & Business Analysis to coordinate and reconcile the HHS annual budget and resource allocation processes aligning to the Department of Health service agreement funding including consultation and negotiation with the Department of Health, Health Service Chief Executive, Chief Finance Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Senior Director Finance and Service Groups and Principal Finance & Business Advisors including the development of budget models, business rules, procedures and guidelines for budget treatment of major revenue and expenditure items and preparation of budget papers. * Support the continuous funding negotiation process with the Department of Health, provide analysis and advice as to maximise revenue streams available. Remuneration value up to $166 569 p.a., comprising salary between $136 035 - $145 990 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (PO5).
