About the role:
The Accounts Receivable role is a key component of the Think Commercial finance team, collaborating closely with the Financial Controller and various departments to ensure accurate financial record-keeping. This role supports financial accuracy and requires a proactive mindset to achieve key financial goals.
The role will include but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain the accounts receivable ledger.
* Keep track of outstanding invoices and ensure timely debt repayments.
* Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied cash transactions.
* Communicate with clients regarding billing issues and queries.
* Assist Accounts Payable with reconciliations.
* Prepare relevant monthly reports and balance sheet reconciliations
* Assist in general financial management and analysis.
* Cooperate with the accounting and finance department to improve financial processes.
* Contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting department.
* Conduct debtor follow-ups via phone and email
* Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies liaising with both client and internal teams.
* Work closely with the finance and operational teams
* Assist with continuous improvement of receivables processes and reporting.
The ideal candidate:
* 2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, with strong reconciliation skills preferred.
* Accounts payable experience is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with NetSuite (highly regarded).
* Strong ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the capacity to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
