About the role:
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Operations Manager to lead a variety of property and infrastructure projects across our portfolio. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, stakeholder engagement, and delivering tangible outcomes and ensuring effective financial planning and control.
About the Role
You’ll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects based in Cairns, with regular travel to Townsville to oversee site-based initiatives. These projects may include new builds, renovations, upgrades, fire safety and regulatory compliance, and retail or commercial fit-outs. You’ll be responsible for coordinating trades, managing tenders and quotes, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a consistently high standard. A key part of your role will involve tenant coordination and clear, proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end project delivery across multiple sites, including new builds, refurbishments, and compliance-related upgrades.
* Coordinate quotes, tenders, contracts, and supplier management to ensure value and quality.
* Oversee project timelines, budgets, procurement, and reporting.
* Liaise with tenants and internal stakeholders to provide regular updates, manage expectations, and minimise operational disruption.
* Ensure all works meet WHS obligations, fire safety requirements, building codes, and all relevant regulatory and quality standards.
* Conduct regular site visits to Townsville to monitor progress, ensure safe work practices, and resolve onsite issues promptly.
* Maintain strong communication with tenants and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
* Proven experience in project management, ideally in construction, facilities, or property.
* Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
* Comfortable working independently and travelling regularly.
* Knowledge of WHS compliance is highly regarded.
* Relevant qualifications in project management, building, or construction are desirable.
