Community Engagement Manager
As Community Engagement Manager with us, you will work closely with other Leaders within our organisation to develop and execute our business plan and strategic vision for Mingara as well as our other Club's across NSW. You'll also create valuable strategic relationships within our local community and be an ambassador for the Mingara brand as we deliver our contribution to the local community through a variety of welfare, education, health, and sporting projects.

With five registered clubs across NSW, a fitness and aquatics centre, world class athletics track and a hotel, we certainly offer variety. But what is closest to our hearts is our connection with our local communities. As a not-for profit, we strive to provide our communities with great facilities and community contributions that are sustainable and deliberate. This role certainly plays an important role in capturing and sharing some of the amazing stories within our local communities.
More about the role
This role is diverse and fulfilling and gives you a taste of club operational leadership and community, including:
* Management and delivery of key community events and projects
* Management of The Westport Club's Community budget
* Providing leadership for our wider team in club operations
* Working as part of the Destination Leadership team in the execution of the site's business plan
Board and Government Reporting
* Administration of The Westport Club's Club GRANT's program in accordance with legislative requirements.
* Providing support to our Sub and Affiliated Sporting Clubs to ensure their administration is maintained, and compliant with legislative requirements.
* Involvement in local committees who work together to identify, understand, and prioritise community need.
What success looks like
Our successful candidate will have:
* Great communication skills and confidence in public speaking and networking
* The ability to maintain great relationships and strategic partnerships with all levels of Government and local media.
* Excellent administration skills including advanced computer skills and report writing. Experience administering grant applications would be highly desirable
* Natural leadership skills and the ability to foster a collaborative working culture at all levels in an organisation
* The ability to roll up your sleeves up and contribute towards the operational success of the organisation
