About the Role: This opportunity suits a hands-on Road Worker to support the maintenance and safety of regional road networks. You will contribute to essential infrastructure upkeep, ensuring roads remain safe and operational for daily users. Working both independently and within a crew, the role involves physical outdoor tasks and operating a range of tools and equipment. This position is primarily depot-based in Goulburn, with occasional travel and overnight stays required depending on project needs. Position : Road Worker - $43.91/hour super Location : Goulburn NSW Working Arrangement : On-site Start Date : ASAP Duration : Until 30/06/2026 (potential extension) Hours : 76 hours per fortnight, 9-day fortnight Key Responsibilities: Carry out road maintenance activities including debris removal and minor pavement repairs Install, maintain and remove traffic signage and safety barriers Operate hand tools, power tools and small machinery safely and efficiently Assist with traffic control measures and worksite safety setup Perform manual handling tasks in line with safety procedures Conduct routine inspections to identify hazards or road defects Support emergency response activities such as clearing hazards from roadways Follow instructions from team leaders and adhere to daily work plans Maintain equipment and report faults or maintenance needs Comply with workplace health and safety regulations at all times Complete basic documentation and reporting as required About You: Previous experience in road maintenance, civil construction or similar outdoor labouring roles Capable of physically demanding work and working in varying weather conditions Ability to work effectively within a team and follow instructions Strong commitment to safety and compliance standards Valid White Card (Construction Induction Card) Valid Driver Licence (Class C or higher) Traffic Control ticket or willingness to obtain WOF (Workers on Foot) certification Ability to pass a National Criminal History Check and reference checks Flexible to travel and work away when required Must have valid working rights in Australia (no sponsorship provided; Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or valid long-term visa required) Application Process: Due to the high volume of applications and the limited submission timeframe, we may not be able to contact all applicants.
