About the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our Finance team as Manager, School Finance Resources & Guidelines. In this role, you will lead the development, maintenance and implementation of high-quality financial resources and guidance materials that support best practice financial management across schools.
You will oversee collaboration across Finance and shared services teams to identify priorities, streamline existing materials, and drive the continuous improvement of financial resources. Your work will ensure schools and internal stakeholders have access to clear, consistent and practical guidance that aligns with policy and supports sound financial decision-making.

About you
You are a strategic thinker with strong financial management expertise and a passion for enabling best practice across complex organisations. You thrive in collaborative environments and are confident engaging with diverse stakeholders to influence outcomes and drive behavioural change.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Demonstrated experience in resource management, policy development or governance.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build productive working relationships.
* Experience developing guidance materials, frameworks or resources that translate policy into practical application for stakeholders.
* The ability to manage competing priorities and risks, while working collaboratively to determine and deliver strategic outcomes.
* Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to build capability, performance and team cohesion.
* Excellent written communication skills, particularly in developing clear, accessible guidance content.
Key knowledge and experience
* Demonstrated experience in interpreting policy, developing and maintaining guidelines and resources
* Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of resources and guidelines, including working with key stakeholders to action change
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

* Qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
