SAP Logistics Lead Role Overview The SAP Logistics Lead is responsible for leading the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of warehouse and logistics solutions. This role focuses on delivering end-to-end capabilities within an enterprise program, specifically leveraging SAP MM, SD, and TM modules. You will lead solution teams and 3rd-party logistics (3PL) partners to ensure digital tools support both operational and strategic organizational goals. Key Accountabilities Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute project plans, ensuring alignment between the solution vision and stakeholder needs. Solution Management: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP modules and integrations with external logistics providers. Requirements & Design: Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system designs while identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies. Vendor Management: Own the relationship with key 3PL vendors and software providers, fostering a "one team" approach across internal staff and contractors. Deliverables & Documentation: Ensure high-quality documentation for test scenarios, integration specifications, and hypercare handover documents. Collaboration: Work across cross-functional teams—including developers, architects, and BAs—to provide functional insights and ensure a unified delivery. Skills, Knowledge & Experience Experience: 10 years of proven experience in Warehouse & Logistics within an SAP environment. Industry Background: A track record of successful SAP implementations, preferably within the manufacturing or FMCG sectors. Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in SAP Material Master (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), and Transport Management (TM). Functional Skills: High level of analytical problem-solving, clear specification writing, and a strong understanding of software development cycles. Stakeholder Management: Exceptional influencing skills with the ability to manage complex relationships across digital and business functions. Compliance: Knowledge of audit requirements and compliance standards (such as JSOX). Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field (Master's preferred). SAP Certification in MM, SD, or TM modules is highly desirable. Project Management certification is an advantage.
