Senior Financial Operations Leader
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced senior financial operations leader to join a high-growth agency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and operations, with a proven track record of driving commercial success and navigating fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own end-to-end financial operations, including forecasting, budgeting, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow management.
* Maintain Xero at an audit-ready level with precision and timeliness.
* Oversee tax preparation and compliance in partnership with external accountants.
* Drive revenue growth and identify cost-saving efficiencies to improve margins.
* Analyse profitability across clients, service lines, and departments to inform strategy.
Operational & Strategic Leadership:
* Develop and optimise SOPs across all teams to reduce key-person risk and scale efficiently.
* Run and report weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics to the leadership team.
* Design and execute long-term growth strategies alongside the leadership team.
People & Culture:
* Manage payroll, HR compliance, performance reviews, and people processes.
* Serve as the escalation point for team and client issues.
* Lead the agency's senior team, including Growth, Creative Strategy, Performance, and Creative Director.
Legal & Risk Management:
* Review all client and contractor agreements.
* Resolve disputes, legal escalations, and risk mitigation matters.
* Maintain compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations with support from legal and accounting partners.
Requirements:
* 5+ years in a senior finance/operations role within a digital marketing, creative, or performance agency.
* Recent experience as a COO, CFO, or equivalent in a fast-growth environment.
* Advanced Xero expertise with CPA/CA qualification.
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
* Sydney-based, with capacity to attend regular in-person meetings.
