Childcare Cook Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Childcare Cook to join our team at Strathmore Children's Centre.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals to children enrolled at the centre. This is a permanent part-time opportunity working 31 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced menus for children;
* Prepare and serve meals to children in accordance with dietary and allergen requirements;
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene;
* Collaborate with the Centre Coordinator to plan rotating menus and order supplies;
* Contribute to food-based experiences and events for children and their families.
Requirements:
* Certificate III (or above) in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience in food planning and preparation in an Early Years setting;
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and/or Food Handling (Food Safety and Hygiene);
* Current and valid Working with Children's Check, First Aid Level 2, Anaphylaxis Management, and Emergency Asthma Management certificates;
* Experience working in children's services is highly regarded.
