About The Role
The Accounts Payable & Payroll Support Officer is a key member of the College's finance team, responsible for managing outgoing financial transactions and supporting payroll operations. This dual‑function role ensures the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments, while also providing essential payroll support to ensure staff are paid correctly and on schedule.
This part‑time role is contracted for three working days per week on an ongoing basis. It offers an excellent opportunity to join a highly productive, close‑knit team within the College.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive, review, and verify invoices and payment requests
* Provide support, guidance and training to all staff with making online purchases, reimbursement requests and other purchasing questions as required.
* Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and expense reimbursements
* Manage and reconcile petty cash accounts and cash advances for tours and trips on a regular basis
* Provide payroll support to the Payroll and Accounts Payroll Officer during periods of leave, non‑working days and as required to support the timely and accurate processing of the fortnightly payroll for all staff

Skills and Experiences
* A minimum of certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (or similar).
* Previous experience in finance function, preferably in an independent school environment is highly desirable but not essential.
* Exceptional attention to detail to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
