Job Purpose
Responsible for all forms of exploitation into the assigned territories.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for all forms of finished tape exploitation of the Banijay Rights catalogue in the assigned territories.
* Setting, monitoring, achieving and exceeding annual and monthly sales forecasts.
* Growing revenues from new market streams, in particular AVOD/FAST.
* Obtaining knowledge of commercial terms paid for in the assigned territories. Strong market knowledge on commissioning & acquisition trends, channel positioning and competition.
* All aspects of deal negotiation including working closely with Legal and Finance teams to secure the strongest rights position and cash payment terms.
* Keeping in regular contact with potential licensees including territory visits and attendance at markets as deemed appropriate.
* Providing sales forecasts to support investment cases.
* To ensure all intelligence gathered is stored in the divisional CRM system and to be responsible for the accuracy of all data in relation to the assigned territory.
* Obtaining an on-going detailed knowledge of broadcaster/platform schedules and VOD platform offerings.
* Development of strategies to grow business (all Rights) in the assigned territories through seeking opportunities for placement of back catalogue.
* Identification of market trends in terms of programming requirements, local content/quota regulations, censorship laws, audience preferences and local tastes.
* Strategic planning as regards the prioritisation of format versus finished programme (or combining both with the local production companies) and/or set price licensing against revenue share/minimum guarantee offerings.
* Working with post sales support team to ensure a strong and focused post sales marketing service is provided for key titles and key clients.
* Working with credit controller to ensure that cash is collected on time and on budget.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
* Existing finished tape sales experience. Format experience is advantageous to align with our local production companies across the territories.
* Understanding of commercial pricing & the complexities of the assigned the territories
* Understanding of production process
* Existing relationships with current and potential broadcasters, platforms and competitors
* Excellent pitching and negotiation skills
* Ability to achieve sales targets and business objectives with a strong financial acumen
* Must be able to work independently and with the ability to work under time constraints and prioritise to meet deadlines where required
* Understanding the nature of a global business and where meetings outside of regular work hours would be required
* Hybrid working environment available.
