Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse - Disability Services)
About the role
Join the Focused on Care team as a full-time or part-time Clinical and Restrictive Practices Manager based in Toowoomba, QLD. In this crucial role, you will play a key part in ensuring the highest standards of care and safety for our clients and provide oversight and recommendations regarding medications, restrictive practices and other clinical requirements. You will also be responsible for developing, maintaining and delivering clinical training for our team of Support Workers.

What you'll be doing
Provide expert guidance and advice on clinical practices and restrictive practices
Maintain the Medication Administration Records and other clinical documentation for our clients
Manage our Community Nursing team
Monitor and report on the implementation of restrictive practices in line with NDIS legislation and implement best practice strategies
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards
Maintain detailed records and prepare reports as required
Assist with the development and review of relevant policies and procedures
Develop and deliver clinical training
Review incident reports and assist in clinical investigations
Identify and implement individual health management plans for conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy, and asthma
Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with service managers to implement necessary changes
What we're looking for
Applicant with current Nursing Registration
Minimum 5 years' experience as Registered Nurse
Knowledge of the NDIS or ability to quickly learn
Preferred experience in the implementation of restrictive practices
Preferred experience in community nursing
Strong understanding of the regulatory framework and legislation governing the sector
Self-motivated individual that thrives in a fast pace and quickly changing industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and support staff
