Meramist Pty Ltd is a DAFF export-registered meat processing establishment (Est located in Caboolture, Queensland.
We operate under an Approved Arrangement and are accredited with AUS-MEAT to supply both domestic and export markets.
Our operations include slaughter, boning, chilling, freezing, storage, and export of meat and meat products, servicing a diverse range of international customers.
We currently operate six days per week on a four-day rotational roster (Monday to Saturday), with future expansion to a seven-day production model.
Meramist maintains a strong focus on regulatory compliance, animal welfare, product integrity, and continuous improvement, supported by a dedicated Quality Assurance team and the iLeader quality management system.

About the Role
As a Quality Assurance Officer, you'll monitor our slaughter, boning, and dispatch operations to ensure compliance with HACCP, AUS-MEAT, and DAFF requirements.
You'll verify hygiene and product standards, support internal audits, and assist during regulatory inspections.
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the confidence to uphold standards in a fast-paced production environment.
Certification with AUS-MEAT as a Standards Officer, together with HACCP and Internal Auditing qualifications, is highly desirable—or a willingness to obtain these through training.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin (Chinese) will be advantageous when liaising with our diverse production and QA teams.
The position follows a 4-day rotational roster, Monday to Saturday, as operations expand toward a full seven-day production model.

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct daily QA monitoring and verification activities across slaughter, boning, and dispatch operations.
* Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and QA programs, including hygiene and product handling standards.
* Perform temperature, equipment, and process control checks.
* Support internal and external audits with DAFF and AUS-MEAT.
* Record and maintain QA documentation within I Leader and site systems.
* Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
* Promote continuous improvement and food safety culture across all departments.

Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in meat processing, food safety, or QA (export experience desirable).
* Knowledge of HACCP principles, GMP, and food safety legislation.
* Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
* Confidence to make decisions and uphold QA standards.
* Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin (Chinese) highly regarded.
* Ability to work effectively within a rotating roster and high-throughput environment.
